Chris embarked on his magical journey at the tender age of 8 in Cyprus. His name, Chris, comes from the Greek “Christos,” while “Jones” is the English adaptation of his surname, Ioannou. From his earliest days, Chris was captivated by the persuasion of the impossible. He vividly recalls the moment when magic first unfolded before his eyes, igniting a spark of curiosity within him that would shape his destiny.
Before discovering the world of magic, Chris grappled with shyness as a child. However, magic became his guiding light, helping him break free from his introverted shell. He started by performing simple tricks with cards, coins and everyday objects for his family and friends. As he gained confidence, he began performing in public places like streets and coffee shops, bringing joy to those around him. Observing the reactions of his audiences and the smiles on their faces filled Chris with joy. Knowing that he could help people escape their own reality and enjoy the moment was immensely gratifying. Each performance served as a source of inspiration and motivation, propelling him forward on his journey. It was during this time that he decided to expand his repertoire and delve into the world of mentalism.
While pursuing his studies in Computer Science in Leicester in the UK, Chris continued to nurture his passion for magic. Even on the bustling streets of Nottingham, he enchanted strangers with impromptu performances, leaving them spellbound. Fuelled by his unwavering passion, Chris seamlessly integrated magic into his academic pursuits, crafting a mobile app for his dissertation that left his supervisor astounded.
Beyond his magical pursuits, Chris finds solace in the pages of books and the reel of movies, where imagination and inspiration intertwine. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, his personal motto, “Knowledge is Everything,” underscores the profound role of wisdom, power, and progress in his journey.
Always eager to expand his skills, Chris embarked on a journey to Spain to study under esteemed magicians, enriching his repertoire and deepening his appreciation for the art of magic.
